Over the past decades, have researching on the subject of being successful in network marketing since 2005; reading stacks of books and consulting experts on how they have managed to become successful in this endeavor. I have attended business seminars on network marketing and have come to the conclusion that for you to succeed in this business you need to do the following:
Think big and live with more faith
You will discover new possibilities for your life when you begin dreaming bigger dreams and living with more faith. The Bible says in book of Matthew 15:28, Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Be it done to you even as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
In the famous poem of Robert Frost, "The Road Not Chosen," the reader is presented with two roads, essentially the same despite the poem's ironic close:
“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Our parents or caregivers conditioned us to think small simply not to be greedy, and to generally expect less and demand less from life. They have taught us that we should be happy and thankful with what we have no matter how little or small it is.
More importantly, there are many people who are less fortunate than us.
Jim Rohn, an American entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker once said, “There’s no telling what you can do when you get inspired by them. There’s no telling what you can do when you believe in them. There’s no telling what will happen when you act upon them.”
According to Zig Ziglar, “A goal properly set is halfway reached.” It is a critical in life to set your goals if you want to move forward in your endeavors.
Believe in Yourself in the Face of Overwhelming Self-Doubt
Honore de Balzac once said, “When you doubt your power, you give power to your doubt.”
Do not let self-doubt bother you. Self-doubt devours your self-confidence, strips your logic and derails you from reasoning well, and most importantly, it steals happiness from your heart. As a result, it leaves you with only fear and insecurity.
You should try to remove self-doubt by thinking positively which may be difficult for you sometimes. I know that the more you fight your self-doubt, the more it fights back. However, with self-knowledge and understanding, you can use self-doubt for your benefit.
Share the vision with your Team
In network marketing, when you have a good sense of what’s important and why, before you figure it all out, talk about it with your team. Don’t try to “sell” your ideas. Talk about what fairly excites you. Help your team members see the rationale and the big picture before you jump to planning the details. Your vision will become clearer for you and your team will begin to think about their own ideas and aspirations.
Execute/Take action
An idea is not going to do anything for you until you do something about it. As a matter of fact, as long as that great idea is just sitting around in your head it’s probably doing more harm than good. They say, “Procrastination is the thief of time”. If you keep postponing work or your assignments that lead to stress, anxiety, fear, and usually more procrastination – making it a vicious cycle spiraling downward until something interrupts it.
Don’t wait for tomorrow, take action!
You have to take what came to you as a thought and make it into something tangible that people can interact with. You never know if an idea is good or bad until you take the chance and give it a shot. ‘Take Action’ Quotes on our website that we truly feel drive our point home. Remember, as long as it’s in your head, it isn’t doing anybody any good (not even you) – Take Action!
Stay Focused
Stay focused on your goals if you want to succeed in your network marketing business. There will be a lot of noise around you telling so many negative things that, “you can’t succeed, “you are stupid” or “nobody in your family has ever been rich”, and “don’t even try it.”
According to Mark Twain, “You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.” You cannot chase two rabbits and catch any one of them, period!
Tony Robbins also share the same view that, “One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular”.
Never quit
In his famous poem, Edgar A. Guest, says,
“When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,..”
This poem is an inspiration and I therefore urge you to never quit even when things seem worst.
